2014 Overview
In 2014 Hope for Michael hosted several events; all these events were successful and our organization was able to once again provide assistance to families in need.
Our Annual Kids Safety Day was once again a great success bringing children with Special Needs and the Community together to share a day of fun. This event was held at the Ossining Community Center which was once again generously donated by Henry Atterbury. Special Thanks to Lt. Dan Slater of the Ossining Police Department for helping us organize a great day for all in attendance. At this event Westchester County PD brought in their Helicopter, Squad Cars and K-9 units; Ossining PD provided their SWAT Truck and Squad Cars while the Ossining Fire Department & Ambulance Corp provide their apparatus's All in attendance enjoyed viewing and sitting on all the trucks and vehicles provided. Also in attendance was Guiding Eyes for the Blind “Heeling Autism Program”; Phelps Memorial Hospital provided their Teddy Bear Clinic and our friend Phil Venturini from Sabrett provided us with enough Hotdogs to feed all in attendance. Special thanks to Montrose Beer & Soda for providing water for those in attendance.
Hope for Michael once again provided complete cooked Thanksgiving Turkey dinners to families with Autistic children in Ossining, Putnam Valley & Eastchester.
Hope for Michael hosted its annual Special Needs Christmas Party at the Ossining Community Center. All in attendance enjoyed a wonderful Magic Show and all the children received a gift from Santa Claus.
